Every year, I can hardly wait until it's warm enough to walk around outside barefoot. My feet yearn to be free of constraining shoes.

But, it seems every year, I quickly remember that barefoot isn't all it's cracked up to be. First, in the yard, you have to watch for errant sticks, rocks, or (dare I say it), prickly weeds.

At the beach? It's almost worse! Your bare feet must be careful to avoid broken glass, too-hot sand, errant sticks and stones, and so much more.
